I stayed at the Best Western Plus Celebrity Suites Vienna because I wanted the convenience of a mini apartment combined with a good location near the river.

My 2 night stay was £126 which I thought was good value given the apartment.

I liked the size of the apartments. They were ideal for me as a solo traveller but would have been good for a couple too. I liked being closer to the Danube River. I also thought the hotel was good value for money. The staff were very friendly and welcoming

Rooms

There are 53 suites at this hotel.

Some have balconies and views and some face the inner courtyard as mine did.

The courtyard was very quiet when I visited but in the summer months it could be noisier with people sitting outside.

Suites have a kitchenette which included a hob, sink, basic kitchen equipment including pans, a fridge and freezer.

There was a table and chairs.

My particular suite did not have any lounge or sofa seating but many of the suites do have that.

There was a large storage area on entering the apartment.

I liked the fact the toilet and the bathroom were separate – handy if there is more than 1 person staying in the suite too.

Breakfast

Breakfast was a buffet served in the ground floor dining area. It was something like 20 or 25 Euros so I didn’t bother because I don’t usually eat hotel breakfasts anyway

Daytime and Evening Dining

The hotel has a ground floor bar area which is open during the daytime and evening. It does not serve food – only snacks.

There is plenty of dining options nearby.

Hotel Leisure Facilities

Somehow I missed that this hotel had a gym and also a sauna located within it.

I didn’t use these during my stay but definitely would if I stayed again.

Eating and Drinking Options Nearby

There are plenty of options within easy walking distance of the Celebrity Suites. Here are a few that are nearby.

The View Cafe Bar and Restaurant

Sitting beside the Danube River this restaurant has a view and a terrace to make the most of it as well. It offers elevated classics with great Austrian wines.

Homolje Grill

This steakhouse is just around the corner from the hotel.

Homolje has a good menu that is good value

There are plenty of other options nearby including takeaways, ice creams and more.

Little Tip from Me: Be aware than on Sundays there isn’t much open. This includes less cafes and restaurants being open too.

What’s Nearby

There are a couple of small supermarkets nearby – including Penny on the corner near Mexicoplatz.

Just across the river is Danube island. This has lots of walking, running and cycling tracks and even a free waterpark that is run by the local government – how cool is that!

There is a massive indoor shopping mall and also entertainment complex a couple of metro stops away. It’s a Westfield centre.

There are multiple restaurants, loads of shops and also multiplex cinemas here too. It’s an ideal wet weather place to visit.

  • The Best Western Celebrity Suites are a great choice if you want to be nearer the parks and river area of Vienna.
  • They are easy to reach and get around from on public transport.
  • Some rooms have views and some have inner courtyard views.

A great choice if you want a good value studio apartment in a quieter location
