The Clubrooms is located airside in Birmingham Airport on the ground floor.

Head through security and then head through the centre of the airport area – past bubble tea shop, WHSmith and JD Sports.

You will see overhead signs for No1 Lounge, Clubrooms, toilets and gates 20 and over.

Keep walking to the end of the corridor and then turn left. You will see a bar on your right hand side. Keep walking and the Clubrooms is on your left hand side.

If you’re deciding how to enter, here’s the simple takeaway: Priority Pass is usually the best value if you’ll use lounges more than once or twice per year, while third-party passes can work well for one-off trips.

The My Lounge is a paid entry lounge. This means you can access it whatever airline you are flying with and whatever type of class you are flying.

You can either;

• Buy access directly with My Lounges – £52 per adult for a 3 hour stay
• Buy access via Holidayextras with my discount – £46.44 for a 3 hour stay
• Access via an airport lounges membership scheme such as Priority Pass. The cost to enter depends on your membership level.

This lounge accepts Priority Pass, which is usually the best value way to get access. My entry to this lounge cost me £20.60 as I used one of my included 10 visits with Standard Plus Membership. I reserved my place so I was guaranteed entry to this lounge. The reservation cost an additional £15.

Inside the Clubrooms Birmingham Airport – My Experience

When I arrived at the lounge it was very quiet. There was 15 minutes left for breakfast service and then it was going to change to the lunchtime menu.

There were 3 areas to the lounge with seating in each.

Inside this lounge you’ll find:

• Tables and chairs
• Leather upholstered seating with tables (dining style)
• Low upholstered chairs and tables
• Larger tables and chairs (no power sockets)
• Leather armchair type seating with low tables

There is one unisex toilet in this lounge. It was clean when I used it.

Drinks

Guests have access to:

• Hot drinks available from the coffee machine
• Tended bar with full range of alcoholic drinks available
• Self service for some soft drinks and flavoured waters
• Champagne is charged extra.

Cold Buffet

I visited during breakfast service. There was small selection on the buffet;

• Croissants
• Danish pastries
• Yoghurts

Hot Food

The breakfast service is table service food. I had the free range eggs on sourdough toast. The eggs were microwaved and there was a butter alternative on the sourdough.

There are a variety of options available for breakfast including;

• Eggs Benedict
• Eggs Florentine
• Pancake Stack
• Full Breakfast
• Scrambled eggs on sourdough

The lunchtime and afternoon menu includes;

• Wild mushrooms on sourdough
• Soup of the day
• Roast chicken breast with mash
• Fish finger sandwich
• Beef slow cooked in red wine
• Ratatouille bake with cheesy crumble
• Nut roast with green beans
• Mediterranean chicken linguine

For most travellers, the answer to that is yes.

• As a business traveller I don’t find the Clubrooms ideal – they have lots of low tables and chairs which is not ideal for working.
• This is a good option if you want a quieter lounge that is child free.
