Invergordon Shops

There are a variety of shops in Invergordon where you can buy all sorts of things. Here’s my guide to what you can get where.

Invergordon High Street is just a few minutes from Invergordon cruise terminal. Just cross over at the pedestrian crossing and walk up King Street.

When you reach the mural of the pipe band you are at the High Street which will run left to right infront of you.

If you turn left when you reach the High Street you will find;

They also sell budgie smugglers!

Mike Ross Arts

Mike Ross has a lovely shop with a wide range of gifts including cards, pictures, and household goods. All his products are based on his artwork which has a bright, colourful style and features plenty of Highland inspiration.

If you turn right when you exit King Street onto the High Street you will find;

Invergordon Shops

Convenience Store and Post Office

The small convenience store on the left hand side, next to K Style takeaway, has a good selection of snacks and drinks. There is also a sandwich bar at the rear of the shop.

At the front of the shop is a Post Office, where you can send parcels or exchange money.

Invergordon Shops

Farmfoods

This is a frozen foods store but they also have chilled and ambient products on sale too. It’s great for instant noodles, 3 in 1 coffee, sweets, and ice lollies in the summer.

At the rear of the shop, you will find household supplies, chilled products, and the bakery section.

Invergordon Shops

Tanstar Gifts

Tanstar is a lovely shop with a great selection of products made by local producers in stock. There is everything from nice scarves, to candles, tweed handbags and cards.

It’s well worth a browse if you are looking for something made locally.

Dalraida

Next door to Tanstar is Dalraida. This has lots of Nessie related products, tartan products, and things like fridge magnets.

If you want to take a Nessie fridge magnet home this is the place to get it.

Another charity shop and another good selection of books and clothes. Ideal if you need extra layers. You can also donate to any of the charity shops if you have things you don’t need any longer.

Shops in Invergordon

Boots Pharmacy

This store is full of toiletry, health, and beauty products. Everything from shampoos to hair dyes and makeup.

It also has over the counter medicine for sale such as cough medicines. They sell vitamins too.

At the rear of the shop is a pharmacy. They can advise on minor ailments and illnesses. If you need medication you can get prescriptions here. For most overseas visitors you are likely to need a doctor’s appointment first.

Boots also sells reading glasses which can be handy if you lose yours while travelling.

Grab N’Go

If you want to read a newspaper or magazine then you will find a good selection here. They also sell snacks, drinks, ice creams, sandwiches, hot drinks and greeting cards.

The Original Factory Shop

This large shop has a huge selection of products on sale. There is everything from household goods to garden stuff.

There is a large shoe section at the rear of the shop and they have a good selection of clothes too.

Hope Charity Shop

Hope is a great charity shop. The reason I like it is because the money they raise is spent locally.

My local community centre has received funds from Hope as have many other local groups.

Nickel and Dime

Set back a little from the High Street is Nickel and Dime. This shop is packed with so much stuff. They do vapes, greeting cards, wool, stationery, candles, household goods, DIY products, paint and more.

Invergordon Gallery

If you want to take home a piece of artwork inspired by the Highlands then this is a good place to head for.

There is a great selection of prints as well and something for every budget.

McRaes of Scotland

This shop is a good spot if you want some Scottish items. They have a large souvenir selection as well as cashmere and tartan products for sale.

The Co-Operative Store

Open early until late every day The Co-operative store is a small grocery/covenience store. As you would expect there is fresh food, a bakery section, a Costa Coffee machine, plus snacks and drinks including beers and whisky.

They also have a bakery counter in the store selling hot pies, plus freshly made cakes.
