Professional Traveller Review
Inverness only has one 5 star hotel and Ness Walk Inverness is it. I love the location – close enough to get to everything in the centre of Inverness, but in a bit of quieter spot beside the river. There are lovely riverside walks from hotel too.

What’s Nearby
Ness Walk is within easy reach of Inverness so there are plenty of things to do.
Things to Do
Here are my top picks for things to do and places to visit.
The Victorian Market is a good option on a dreich day. There is a food hall inside alongwith some smaller independent shops.
Inverness Castle is due to open in late 2025. This will offer visitors a very interactive experience – it’s much anticipated!
Eden Court Theatre and Cinema – just along from Ness Walk is our lovely local theatre and cinema. There’s always something interesting on and the cinema has a fab selection of films, plus the comfiest cinema seats.

Places to Eat and Drink
The Mustard Seed is along the river from the Ness Walk. It’s a very popular local restaurant with great service and an ever changing menu.
Rocpool Restaurant is also along the river from the Ness Walk. It serves gourmet Scottish food.
Encore Restaurant is beside Rocpool and also offers dishes with a focus on Scottish ingredients
For something smaller or lunch options check out the Victorian Market food hall.
I also love Xoko Bakehouse, just across the road bridge from Ness Walk in the High Street. They have lovely coffee and amazing bakes.
Also Nearby
- The Scottish Kiltmaker visitor experience – a great place to buy or hire a kilt and to trace your family tartan
Ness Walk – Conclusion
- This is a lovely relaxing hotel option that combines the best of being beside the river and within easy reach of the city centre
A great choice if you want a more luxury stay in Inverness
