Inside the Plaza Premium Lounge – My Experience
I visited this lounge after being in the No1 Lounge in Terminal 2. Given how busy the No1 lounge was I was surprised by how quiet the Plaza Premium lounge was – it was around operating at around 10% capacity when I visited.
The lounge is set at the back of the terminal with the entrance beside the airline service desks.
There was quite a large reception area and then you enter the lounge which is large.
Inside, you’ll find:
- Tables and chairs for dining near the buffet
- Upholstered chairs with small tables between
- A range of leather armchairs with tables
- Tub chairs and tables
- High tables and bar stools
The lounge is wide and spacious, with high ceilings. There are partitioned areas throughout the lounge and a separate TV room beside the bar.
There are showers in this lounge which are £27.50 for 30 minutes. There are also private resting rooms which are £99 for 3 hours. These are mini bedrooms with their own shower and toilet.

Hot Food
It was breakfast time when I visited so the hot food included;
- Scrambled eggs

- Bacon
- Baked Beans
The afternoon menu includes a variety of hot dishes such as pasta dishes.
This was one of the best airport lounge buffets I have seen in an airport lounge for a while. There was a great selection of everything, including tea choices, syrups and flavourings for coffee etc.
