Priority Pass Tips

You Can Use Multiple Lounges a Day

One of the great features of Priority Pass membership is that there is no limit on how many times you use airport lounges in a day.

That means if you are travelling through two or more airports in a day then you can enjoy lounge access at each airport that has a Priority Pass lounge available.

That makes airports and layovers a whole lot more appealing!

This can be helpful if you have a long layover at an airport. A lounge will give you the chance to get some work done, or simply graze on food and drinks for 2 or 3 hours before your flight.

Using a lounge during a layover is much better than having to deal with the noise and busy surroundings of the main airport building.

It’s certainly much better than wandering around the terminal, trying not to spend lots of money, and paying through the nose for food and drink.

Using an airport lounge during a layover can be a great way of recharging between flights. Some lounges have showers to help you freshen up ahead of your next departure.

One of the things I especially like about Priority Pass is there is no need to book airport lounges in advance (except No.1 Lounges).

This is especially handy for layovers. If you pay for the lounge directly and your incoming flight is delayed it means you might have no time to enjoy the lounge. With Priority Pass it doesn’t matter because you haven’t booked anything.

It can be difficult to book an airport lounge for a layover as you may not know what gate your inbound flight will arrive at and what part of the airport you will be in. For smaller airports, this isn’t a problem, but some airports have different lounges for different departure areas.

priority pass tips flexibility

Priority Pass Tips

Flexibility and Certainty (Yes It Sounds Like a Contradiction!)

Flexibility

Priority Pass offers its members flexibility. There is no need to book a lounge, you simply turn up at the lounge of your choosing, show your card, and head in.

As you know sometimes getting to the airport or through security can take longer than you thought.

Priority Pass membership means that you don’t lose out on your lounge booking the same as if you had booked and paid for the lounge directly.

Yes, you could argue you have paid a membership fee and you have lost out on not getting the benefits of lounge access through the scheme, but it’s a little different.

When travelling through unfamiliar airports it can be difficult to know how long it will take to get through the airport security and checks.

Having the freedom to use a lounge when it suits you I find helpful.

Certainty

Some Priority Pass lounges are so popular that they can be difficult to access, especially at peak times.

For these popular lounges, Priority Pass offers members certainty of entry with pre-booking.

For a small fee, members can pre-book these very popular lounges. This combines the best of being flexible with the certainty of guaranteed entry.

This applies to the very popular No1 Lounges. There are 11 No1 lounges in the UK and the pre-booking fee is around £6.

This gives Priority Pass members the benefits of flexibility but with the certainty of being able to access these particularly busy airport lounges. It is the best of both worlds.

If you can’t make it to your lounge for any reason you just lose the £6 booking fee.

Priority Pass Tips

Airport Guides

A little-known feature of the Priority Pass website and app is airport guides. These are floorplans of the airports that show you where everything is.

This can be handy when you have a layover and want to plan your time at the airport, or just find the best food and drink option for you.

Priority Pass Tips

Meal Offers

Another Priority Pass membership benefit is that there are meal offers available at quite a lot of airports.

This is ideal where you don’t have the time to go into a lounge but you still want to get some benefit from your membership card.

You can find meal offers online through the website or the app.

You can also order takeout from a huge number of airport restaurants. That’s a great option if you want to take your meal on the plane!

Priority Pass Tips

Airport Transfers/Meet and Greets

Priority Pass members can book airport transfers at around 1,100 airports and benefit from preferential rates.

The transfers are all booked in the app so everything is in one place.

On top of that, you have access to Priority Pass customer support 24 hours a day in case anything goes wrong.

This makes using this service helpful and convenient.

Priority Pass

Car Rentals

Just like transfers you can also book car rentals through the Priority Pass app – again at preferential member rates.
