Are Travel Eye Masks Worth It?

Travel eye masks are worth it if you value a good night’s sleep when you are travelling. They ensure you can sleep well no matter what the light levels. They are also great for helping you to nap anywhere at any time of day.

It never ceases to amaze me how light bedrooms can be when travelling.

The excitement of checking into a hotel room quickly disappears when you see that the curtains are thin cotton, or that they don’t fit correctly.

I’ve spent plenty of time jamming tables and chairs against the curtains to block out light pouring in around the edges.

I’ve also done that thing where you clip curtains together using the trouser hangers from the wardrobe.

Sometimes though, no matter what you do the light coming in the room is a problem that you just can’t fix.

That’s why I love a travel eye mask.

I no longer have to worry about the curtains and not being able to sleep.

Using a sleep mask means I can fall asleep in bright lights.

Having tried all sorts this is the best travel eye mask I have found – it’s been one of my travel essentials for several years now.

I like how small and compact it is. This means I can take it with me when I am flying, and travelling light, as well as on longer trips. It doesn’t take up much room in my case or bag.

It’s ideal for napping, whether that be in the daytime or when flying.

I sleep on my side and this travel sleep mask doesn’t come off no matter how many times I jiffle about during the night.

It also feels light on my face and my eyes. I don’t wake up with my face feeling like it has been squished.

The light headband means there is no tightness on the side of my face or the back of my head, making it comfortable to wear.

Why Do I Recommend This Travel Sleep Mask?

  • It has a travel bag to protect it
  • It’s suitable for side, front and back sleeping positions
  • The adjustable noseband is great at stopping light coming up under the mask

Wearing this travel sleep mask means you can sleep anywhere – no matter how crappy the curtains!

The Best Travel Eye Mask

There are lots of travel masks available. I have tried plenty of them!

Generally when I travel it is for work. That means getting a good night’s sleep is essential. If I don’t sleep well I can’t do my job as well – it’s as simple as that.

If you have spent lots of time in hotels trying to get the curtains to fit better then this sleep mask is for you. I have spent lots of time jamming chairs and tables against the windows. I have also used trouser hangers to join curtains together – all to try and get a better night’s sleep!

I use this sleep mask for grabbing a quick nap when I am travelling. It saves me from having to shut all the curtains in the bedroom.

I also use this when I am at home and feel like a quick nap too. Putting it on and it becoming dark seems to help me nap a little easier.

This mask is ideal for trying to sleep when you are flying. It blocks out so much light that even the brightest airplane lights aren’t going to make a difference! It is small enough to fit in a pocket if you don’t like to travel with any hand luggage.

Combining this mask with earplugs will ensure you can get a great night’s sleep wherever you are. Hotels can be bright, light and quite noisy places so this is an essential combination!

Having a great night’s sleep will ensure you are ready to get the most out of your trip, wherever you are and whatever you are doing.
