Vilamoura Garden Hotel Algarve Review

Professional Traveller Review

I stayed at this hotel for one night in Vilamoura. The location was great, with plenty of free parking onsite. The restaurant did a nice breakfast and the pool area was pretty and attractive.

What I Loved

Lovely suite with lounge area and bedroom area, all of which was spotlessly clean.

I didn’t make it into the pool, but would have loved to have tried it out. I also didn’t get to use the gym facilities either.

That said the hotel facilities and services I used were great, and this was a great value stay.

Room

  • Junior suite room with lounge area, coffee table and TV.
  • Bedroom area had a kingsize bed which was comfortable, with crisp clean linens.
  • The bathroom was well equipped and also very clean.
  • Tea and coffee facilities in the room.

Hotel

  • Located to the North of Vilamoura, within walking distance of the marina.
  • Outdoor pool
  • Lifts from reception
  • Free WIFI throughout
  • Gym with treadmills and bikes
  • Bicycle and car rental
  • Beach and marina shuttle
  • Airport shuttle

Dining

  • Garden cafe on the ground floor serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  • Tapas bar from 4-11pm each day

Getting There

The hotel is 25 miles from Faro Airport, the main airport for the Algarve.

Getting Around

It is easy to walk around Vilamoura – the marina is just over a mile away.

There is a shuttle bus service from the hotel to the beach and the marina area.

The hotel is also close to the main coastal road and the A22 motorway which runs East/West along the Algarve.

Things to Do

The Old Course – golf course – is just across the road from the hotel.

The Cerro da Vila is just under a mile from the hotel. This is a museum about a Roman villa. You can walk round the remains of the house (mostly ground level).

The Marina is just over a mile away. There are plenty of shops, cafes and bars in the area.

You can rent boats in the marina.

The sandy beach is around 1.5 miles from the hotel.

Vilamoura Garden Hotel – Conclusion

  • The Vilamoura Garden Hotel is in a great location, within easy walking distance of the town.
  • It has lovely rooms and facilities and is great value for a 4 star hotel.
