Heathrow Terminal 3 Lounges – How Most Travellers Get Access

Before choosing a lounge, it helps to know how access works.

Most travellers use:

  • Priority Pass membership
  • Lounge passes via premium credit cards
  • Paid entry booked online through a deals site or through the lounge operator

I personally use Priority Pass, which gives access to all three Terminal 3 lounges and usually costs far less than paying on the door. As an example the No1 Lounge and MyLounge cost from £34 to enter if booked with the best online deal available. I visited using my Priority Pass Standard Plus membership which meant my visits worked out at £20.60 each.

If you’re deciding how to enter, here’s the simple takeaway: Priority Pass is usually the best value if you’ll use lounges more than once or twice per year, while third-party passes can work well for one-off trips.

My Heathrow Terminal 3 Lounge Tips

After using all 3 of these lounges here are a couple of tips from me;

Pre-Book When Possible

  • Priority Pass offers members the chance to pre-book all these lounges to guarantee access. For the No1 Lounge and MyLounge this means a small charge of £6 per lounge. The Clubrooms require prebooking and an additional payment of £15.
  • The great thing about prebooking with Priority Pass is that can cancel your prebooking 48 hours in advance and get a full refund.
  • If within 48 hours of your visit your plans change or you can’t make your lounge booking for any reason you only lose the prebooking fee as your lounge fee isn’t charged until you actually enter the lounge.

Consider Lounge Access if You Eat At The Airport

  • Airport lounge access can work out better than an airport meal, especially if you are having 1 or 2 alcoholic drinks. That means you get all the benefits of the lounge – comfier seating, better WIFI, quieter environment and workspace effectively for nothing.
