London Heathrow Terminal 2 lounges are great if want somewhere quieter and more comfortable than the main departure lounge. You’ve got two excellent paid-entry lounges to choose from: the Plaza Premium Lounge and the No1 Lounge.
I’ve used both lounges myself and in this guide I’ll show you exactly what to expect, which one is best, and how to access them using Priority Pass.
Both lounges are open to all travellers regardless of airline or ticket class, and they’re one of the easiest ways to upgrade your Heathrow experience.

✈️ Instant Verdict – Best Lounge at Heathrow Terminal 2
If you’re flying from Heathrow Terminal 2, the Plaza Premium Lounge is my top recommendation for most travellers. It’s the larger of the two lounges, with more seating, a reliable food offering, and a comfortable, modern environment that works well whether you’re travelling for business or leisure.

- I’ve used Priority Pass membership to access airport lounges for years now. They help me to have a calmer, comfortable and more productive airport visit. (There are affiliate links on my website – I only recommend things I use). About Me Page & Editorial Policy

📍 Which Lounge Is Closest to Your Gate?
Both Terminal 2 lounges are located airside after security.
- Plaza Premium Lounge – Located near Gate A16 on the upper level
- No1 Lounge – Located near Gate A18, also on the upper level
Terminal 2 is quite compact compared to other Heathrow terminals, so walking times between lounges and gates are usually short.

|---|---|---|---|
| Plaza Premium | Best overall, Priority Pass users, longer waits | Relaxed, modern, good food, great seating, showers | Read Review |
| No1 Lounge | Backup option | Relaxed and quiet, small lounge, smaller buffet selection | Read Review |
My Recommendation: For most travellers the Plaza Premium is the best choice. You can’t prebook entry through Priority Pass though

If you’re deciding how to enter, here’s the simple takeaway: Priority Pass is usually the best value if you’ll use lounges more than once or twice per year, while third-party passes can work well for one-off trips.

⭐ Plaza Premium Lounge Heathrow Terminal 2 – My Experience
The Plaza Premium Lounge is a comfortable, modern lounge with a good mix of seating options and a reliable food offering.
Quick overview:
- Rating: 9/10
- Location: Near Gate A16
- Access: Priority Pass, DragonPass, paid entry
- Seating: High backed chairs, low chairs, tables and chairs, workbenches, TV room
- Toilets: Yes
- WiFi: Reliable
- Power sockets: Widely available
Food and Drink Includes:
- Hot buffet dishes – extensive hot buffet, the largest available in Heathrow
- Cold food and snacks
- Coffee, tea, soft drinks
- Beer, wine and alcohol available from the fully tended bar
The lounge is spacious and generally comfortable. There are a variety of areas including a TV room by the bar, a dining area, and quieter smaller seating areas.
There is also a workbench with high bar stool seating.
This lounge also has showers available (for an extra charge).
This lounge is the best lounge in the whole of Heathrow Airport in terms of food, drink, space, style and facilities.
The only disadvantage for membership holders is that you can’t prebook this lounge to guarantee entry at peak times.

🌿 No1 Lounge Heathrow Terminal 2 – My Experience
The No1 Lounge is a smaller lounge set on the lower floor (below ground level). It is smaller than I was expecting, and smaller compared to other No1 Lounges I have visited. It’s smaller size means the buffet offering is a bit smaller too.
Quick overview:
- Rating: 7.5/10
- Location: Near Gate A18
- Access: Priority Pass, paid entry
- Seating: Sofa seating, lounge chair seating, tables and chairs, TV room
- Toilets: Yes
- WiFi: Available
- Power sockets: Available
Food and Drink Includes:
- Hot buffet food – smaller selection, breakfast options a bit more limited
- Cold snacks
- Coffee, tea, juices and flavoured waters
- Alcoholic drinks from a fully tended bar
This lounge was very busy when I visited so I had to juggle a little to get to a table so I could do some work.
You can prebook this lounge with Priority Pass for a small fee which guarantees entry when the lounge is busy.
🤔 Which Heathrow Terminal 2 Lounge Should You Choose?
Choose Plaza Premium Lounge if you want:
- The best food and drink options
- The most comfortable lounge with the best seating options
- Showers in the lounge
Choose No1 Lounge if you want:
- Prebooking to guarantee entry
Both lounges are excellent compared to the main terminal seating areas.
