If you’re flying from London you might be thinking of using the Clubrooms at Heathrow Terminal 3.

I’ve used this lounge myself and in this review I’ll show you exactly what to expect, how to access it, what the food and facilities are like, and whether it’s good value for money.

I visited using my Priority Pass membership.

Where Are the Clubrooms & How Do You Access Them?

Location

The Clubrooms are located airside in Heathrow Terminal 3 on the first floor.

Head through security. Follow signs to gates 13-22 and lounge F. Take the stairs or the lift up one floor and head down the corridor to the end.

If you’re deciding how to enter, here’s the simple takeaway: Priority Pass is usually the best value if you’ll use lounges more than once or twice per year, while third-party passes can work well for one-off trips.

The Clubrooms area a paid entry lounge. This means you can access it whatever airline you are flying with and whatever type of class you are flying.

You can either;

• Buy access directly with Clubrooms – £50 per adult for a 3 hour stay
• Buy access through via my discount code at Holidayextras – £41.28 for 3 hours guaranteed entry
• Access via an airport lounges membership scheme such as DragonPass or Priority Pass. The cost to enter depends on your membership level.

Using Priority Pass In This Lounge

This lounge accepts Priority Pass, which is usually the best value way to get access. My entry to this lounge cost me £20.60 (plus a £15 booking fee) as I used one of my included 10 visits with Standard Plus Membership.

Inside the Clubrooms – My Experience

When I visited the Clubrooms was very quiet – probably only about 20-40% full. There was a friendly welcome and I was shown to a low chair for one person with a tiny side table. As I wanted to do some work I moved to a dining height table for 2.

The Clubrooms is a larger lounge than first appears as it is spread through several areas that are partitioned/divided off.

Inside this lounge you’ll find:

• Lots of low lounge seating with low tables (this seems to be a Clubrooms theme)
• Some larger tables and higher tables in the central section
• Larger tables in the furthest section from reception

Clubrooms provide guests for a full table service for meals and drinks.

There is not a fully tended bar in this lounge, the waiting staff make the drinks themselves.

I find the majority of the seating impractical for working and eating in the Clubrooms, lots of low lounge chairs and small low tables.

Food & Drinks – What’s Included?

Drinks

Guests have access to:

• Hot drinks available from the coffee machine
• Soft drinks and flavoured waters available on self service basis
• Tended bar with full range of alcoholic drinks available
• Premium drinks such as Champagne or Prosecco are available for an extra charge

The drinks selection has a wide range of alcoholic options available. There was a non alcoholic beer available but that was pretty much it if you don’t drink alcohol. The wait staff very kindly made me a non alcoholic drink using the London Light alcohol free gin alternative.

Cold Food

There is a small selection of cold food for guests to help themselves to;

• Lemon cake
• Chocolate brownies
• Shortbread
• Nuts
• Olives

Hot Food

It was afternoon when I visited so breakfast had finished.

There are a variety of dishes and specials available in the Clubrooms including;

• Mushrooms on sourdough
• Duck and pomegranate salad
• Soup of the day
• Roasted chicken breast
• Red lentil linguine
• Fish goujon sandwich
• Slow cooked beef in red wine
• Ratatouille bake
• Chicken linguine
• Nut roast
• Signature prawn cocktail

I had the red lentil linguine while I was in the lounge and the fish goujon sandwich. The sandwich was inedible due to being overcooked, given it wasn’t burned I suspect it was heated in a microwave.

Is Priority Pass Worth It at Heathrow Terminal 3?

For most travellers, the answer to that is yes.

Here’s why:

• Food + drinks + comfort: Included

If you use this lounge just twice per year, Priority Pass often pays for itself.

For regular flyers, it’s one of the easiest ways to save money at Heathrow.

• This was my second visit to a Clubrooms and whilst the lounge decor felt premium, and the menu options did, the food experience didn’t match up to that.
• I find the majority of the seating in Clubrooms impractical for dining and also for working. There are lots of lounge chairs with low tables.
• If I had paid the full £50 per person to access this lounge I would have been quite disappointed – I didn’t think it was worth the £34.30 that I paid.
• The staff were really friendly and helpful, despite being very busy.
