Where to Stay in Valencia
If you are wondering which is the best area to stay in Valencia you need to decide if you want to stay in the old town, Cuitat Vella, or the beach area.
It’s easy to travel between the two areas, a metro or tram ride will take around 20 minutes maximum.
Why not stay a couple of nights in both and enjoy the best each area has to offer?
Here are my top picks for the old town and then the beach area of Valencia.
Where to Stay in Valencia Old Town
I really enjoyed staying in the old town area. It was easy to explore on foot and ideal given that I didn’t have a car to worry about.
Here are my top picks of the best hotels in the old town area.

Where to Stay in Valencia Spain
Vincci Mercat
If you want to be close to the fabulous Central Market and right in the heart of the old town of Valencia then the Vincci Mercat is a great choice.
The old town is all around the hotel, with narrow streets, plazas and squares to enjoy, along with the Cathedral, the Silk Forum and lots of lovely cafes, restaurants, bars and shops.
It’s easy to walk everywhere in Valencia and the Arts and Sciences Park is a 1.5-mile stroll away from the hotel.
This hotel is ideal if you don’t have a car, although amazingly it does have a car park underneath the hotel.
All the rooms have air conditioning and there is a rooftop pool area where you can enjoy views across the city.
It’s got great reviews too and is currently rated ‘fabulous’.

Where to Stay in Valencia
Estimar Valencia
If you are looking for a modern lux-style hotel then the Estimar Valencia is that. The stylish decor throughout gives this hotel a luxury feel.
If you fancy a spot of relaxation there is a gym and a spa to enjoy at the hotel.
There is also a beautiful rooftop area with loungers as well as tables so you can enjoy great views across the city.
This hotel is located in the old town, towards the arts and sciences park area making it easy to explore everywhere on foot.

Where to Stay in Valencia Old Town
SH Ingles Boutique Hotel
If you prefer your hotels a little more friendly and smaller sized, but still with lovely facilities and a gorgeous interior then check out this fab hotel in the old town.
The hotel has a gorgeous design feel throughout, with interesting and thoughtful touches to make it a little bit different.
Rooms are bright and airy, some with balconies to enjoy a spot of people-watching.
There is also a restaurant and cafe if you fancy dining in or enjoying a hotel breakfast.

Where to Stay in Valencia
MYR Palacio Vallier
Oh my goodness this hotel is a beautiful combination of old and new. It’s a 5 star hotel with lovely rooms, all of which are slightly different. Some have balconies, some have views but all are comfortable.
It’s rated fabulous and it’s easy to see why.
I would stay here just to enjoy relaxing on the roof terrace with a nice glass of something in the evening!
It is also in a fab location in the old town, close to Turia Park, giving you a great mix of the city centre and a beautiful park to enjoy nearby too.

Atico El En Centro
I stayed in a cute little apartment called the Atico El En Centro. It was quite difficult to find initially, meaning I had to ring the owner for directions but he arrived very quickly so it was not a real issue.
The apartment is a one-bedroom apartment at the top of 3 flights of stairs. It has an open lounge/diner area, bathroom and bedroom. There is a spiral staircase which leads up to the small terrace with a jacuzzi.
It was very handy for reaching all the attractions and the park was nearby too. As such I did most of my exploring on foot.
The apartment had free WIFI and also Netflix. I particularly liked the bedroom as it had no windows so I slept like a top.
The area around was pedestrianised and there were shops, cafes and restaurants nearby including a great Italian restaurant in the alley where the apartment was.
At £151 for 4 nights, I thought it was good value too.
If you are interested in self-catering there is a great selection available in the old town, Cuitat Vella.
Valencia Old Town
There are loads of hotels to choose from as you can see from the map below. There are also lots of self-catering options from VRBO if you prefer an exclusive place to stay.
Valencia Near The Beach
Valencia has a lovely beach and marina area that is just 20 minutes away from the old town city centre.
Here are my top picks of the best places to stay in Valencia near the beach.

Where to Stay in Valencia Near Beach
Las Arenas Balneario Resort
This gorgeous 5-star hotel looks over the sea and has metro stations nearby, making it easy to enjoy the beach area and the city. It’s about a 15 or 20-minute metro ride between the two.
This hotel is curve-shaped, with rooms looking out over the pool area and towards the sea. There is a wellness centre and gym, along with bright airy and spacious rooms.
If I was going to Valencia to enjoy a bit of a spa break then this would be the hotel I would stay in.
How lovely to be enjoying the beach and sea in the morning and the city in the afternoon, or the other way round!
Where To Stay in Valencia
Hotel Neptuno
If the Hotel Neptuno were any closer to the sea it would be in it!
Rooms are comfortable, bright and airy. There is a spa and gym in the hotel as well as a beachside bar.
The roof terrace is an ideal place to soak up the sun while enjoying views of the sea and the marina area.
This is another great option if you want to combine a beach and city break while visiting Valencia.
