Aspire Lounge Gatwick South Terminal

The Aspire Lounge is located on the upper level of the main airport building. When you leave security you can take a short cut – don’t go down the steps or escalator but follow the signs and the corridor to the left.

If you do go into the departures area simply take the escalator to the upper level and follow the signs.

If you’re deciding how to enter, here’s the simple takeaway: Priority Pass is usually the best value if you’ll use lounges more than once or twice per year, while third-party passes can work well for one-off trips.

The Aspire Lounge is a paid entry lounge. This means you can access it whatever airline you are flying with and whatever type of class you are flying.

You can either;

  • Buy access directly with Aspire Lounges – £46.99 per adult for a 3 hour stay
  • Buy access through via my discount code at Holidayextras – £41.28 for 3 hours guaranteed entry
  • Access via an airport lounges membership scheme such as Priority Pass. The cost to enter depends on your membership level.

For most travellers, the answer to that is yes.

Here’s why:

  • Walk-in price: +£40
  • Priority Pass visit with Standard Plus Membership (and my discount) £20.60
  • Food + drinks + comfort: Included

If you use this lounge just 2-3 times a year, Priority Pass often pays for itself.

You can also prebook all the lounges at Gatwick South Terminal through Priority Pass, which guarantees entry at peak travel times.

Aspire Lounge Gatwick South Terminal FAQs

Do I need to pre-book the Aspire Lounge at Gatwick South Terminal?

Prebooking is strongly recommended. Priority Pass, Dragon Pass and Lounge Key cardholders can reserve a space from just £6 per person, and walk-up access is subject to availability on the day. Importantly, Dragon Pass is only accepted at this lounge with a pre-booking — so if you hold a Dragon Pass card, you must book in advance or you’ll be turned away.

Can I use the Aspire Lounge regardless of which airline or ticket class I’m travelling on?

Yes. It doesn’t matter which airline you fly with or whether it is economy or first class — you are welcome in the lounge. You will need a valid boarding pass and simply agree to the terms and conditions of entry.

What food and drinks are available in the Aspire Lounge?

This Aspire Lounge has a hot and cold buffet available all day. The menu offers a selection of dishes – generally a meat based and a vegetarian dish. You can also pay an additional fee for more options like pizza, chunky chips etc. The bar offers a full range of drinks with premium spirits available for an additional fee (there are spirits included in the entry price).

How does the Aspire Lounge compare to the No1 Lounge, Clubrooms and My Lounge?

The Aspire Lounge is a good option if you want to work or you fancy an some upgraded meal options, which are served as table service. The buffet is not as extensive as the No1 Lounge but it’s better than the My Lounge. The Clubrooms are a premium table service lounge.

Aspire Lounge Gatwick South Terminal – Final Verdict

  • This is a good lounge if you are a business traveller or leisure traveller and it may often be quieter than the No1 Lounge.
  • There is a good selection of food and drink available in this lounge and the chance to upgrade to table service meals. I think this makes it better value than the Clubrooms.
