My Lounge Gatwick South Location

The My Lounge is located airside in Gatwick South Terminal on the upper floor.

Head through security and don’t take the stairs or escalator down from security but instead take the corridor on the left hand side. This takes you straight through to the upper level and saves you a walk through duty free.

If you do end up going through duty free don’t worry – just take the escalator to the upper level when you reach the main terminal area.

Follow the signs to the outdoor area – the My Lounge is in the same corridor.

If you’re deciding how to enter, here’s the simple takeaway: Priority Pass is usually the best value if you’ll use lounges more than once or twice per year, while third-party passes can work well for one-off trips.

Inside the MyLounge Gatwick – My Experience

When I visited the lounge was around 30% full but it felt busier. It was quite noisy, the background music didn’t seem to be that background.

Inside this lounge you’ll find:

  • Bar style seats with bench table (no sockets)
  • One large central table for 12-14 people (no sockets) and seats a little low for the table
  • 8 tables for 2 people
  • 2 tables for 3 people
  • Lounge area with reserved tables and bench seating – this had 2 tables for 2 or 3 and 1 solo table

There is also a games room. This was quite noisy. Chairs being dragged across the floor also made quite a bit of noise.

When I visited the outdoor terrace was mainly being used by smokers. It was a lovely sunny day but I didn’t fancy sitting outside surrounded by smoke.

When I did go outside I found someone had left what looked like a vape outside. I advised the staff who did nothing about it during the remaining hour of my lounge visit. As someone who takes security at airports seriously I found this frustrating.

The toilets also weren’t that clean and they smelt very strongly of pee when I entered. The toilets are all unisex and there are 4 cubicles available.

Hot Food

It was afternoon when I visited so breakfast had finished.

MyLounge have a hot and cold buffet available. As a vegetarian I find the selection a little bit limited. The selection available in MyLounge isn’t as large as in other airport lounges.

When I tried the buffet the pasta was very dry and the chips were also dry – it looked as if it had all been sitting under the heat lamps for a while.

  • Chicken gyros
  • Garlic and herb chips
  • Tomato pasta

Yes, My Lounge accepts Priority Pass. You can also prebook the lounge which is recommended given demand for lounges in Gatwick South Terminal.

MyLounge is a comfortable lounge with a relaxed feel. The food offering is the smallest of the lounges so it might not be the best choice if you are looking for a full meal.

MyLounge Gatwick South – Final Verdict

  • This lounge is more suited to leisure travellers than those wanting to do some work – that’s partly because of the noise, but mainly to do with the lack of power sockets near work areas
  • The food is a more limited than other lounges. If you want a meal then choose the No1 Lounge or the Club Aspire lounge in the South Terminal instead.
  • The outdoor terrace is nice providing there isn’t anyone out there smoking.
