If you’re flying from London Gatwick you might be thinking of using the My Lounge Gatwick North terminal.

I’ve used this lounge myself and in this review I’ll show you exactly what to expect, how to access it, what the food and facilities are like, and whether it’s good value for money.

I visited using my Priority Pass membership which meant my visit worked out to £20.60 using my Standard Plus Membership – better value than an airport meal!

Inside the MyLounge Gatwick North – My Experience

When I visited the lounge was around 30% full but it felt busier. It was quite noisy due to a large group being quite loud, plus loud background music.

Inside this lounge you’ll find:

  • One large central table for 12-14 people (no sockets) and seats a little low for the table
  • Dining tables and chairs
  • Sofas and lounge seating

There is also a games table with arcade games.

The toilets are inside the lounge and unisex and they were reasonably clean and tidy.

Hot Food

It was afternoon when I visited so breakfast had finished.

MyLounge have a hot and cold buffet available.

As a vegetarian I find the selection a little bit limited given the main food item is chicken gyros.

The selection available in MyLounge isn’t as large as in other airport lounges.

  • Chicken gyros
  • Garlic and herb chips
  • Tomato pasta

Is Priority Pass Worth It at Gatwick North Terminal?

For most travellers, the answer to that is yes.

Here’s why:

  • Walk-in price: +£40
  • Priority Pass visit with Standard Plus Membership (and my discount) £20.60
  • Food + drinks + comfort: Included

If you use this lounge just three times a year, Priority Pass will generally pay for itself.

If you are a regular flyer like me then this is one of the best value travel upgrades available.

My Lounge Gatwick North FAQs

Is the the MyLounge at Gatwick North terminal worth it?

Yes, My Lounge accepts Priority Pass. You can also prebook the lounge which is recommended given demand for lounges in Gatwick North Terminal.

No you cannot see the runway from the My Lounge at Gatwick North Terminal. If you want runway views the No1 Lounge or Plaza Premium are the best choices.

Can you smoke at My Lounge Gatwick North?

There is no outdoor smoking area at the My Lounge Gatwick North Terminal. There is an outdoor smoking area available in the My Lounge in the South Terminal.

What is the best time to visit to avoid crowds?

Early mornings are the peak time for lounge access at London Gatwick airport so if your flight is later in the day then that’s likely to mean a quieter lounge. That said I would still recommend prebooking to guarantee access.

MyLounge Gatwick North – Final Verdict

  • This lounge is more suited to leisure travellers than those wanting to do some work – that’s partly because of the noise, but mainly to do with the lack of power sockets near work areas
  • The food is a more limited than other lounges. If you want a meal then choose one of the other lounges in the North Terminal.
  • This is a good option if you want a more relaxed lounge vibe with a homely feel.

Gatwick Airport Extras

Do you need a hotel at Gatwick Airport?

My favourite hotel at the North Terminal is the Sofitel. It’s connected by a walkway and has lovely comfy beds. You might want to avoid atrium view rooms as the noise can travel up the atrium and you can’t have your window blinds open (unless you want everyone to see you in your jim jams)
