YotelAir Gatwick – What I Loved
Super convenient as right in the terminal building. Ideal for layovers. Beds super comfy and showers great too.

Professional Traveller Review ????
I’ve used YotelAir for long layovers a number of times. Being able to sleep and shower after a long haul flight really helped with jet lag. I’ve only ever used the Premium cabins which I thought were good value.

Are There Sleep Pods at Gatwick Airport?
There are super little cabins that are a cross between premium cabins on a plane and the pod hotels you find in Japan. They are super convenient, right in the South Terminal and you can book them in 4 hour time slots. There are single, twin and premium cabins available at the Yotelair.
This hotel is right in the South Terminal building.
Infact it’s under the floor of the arrivals hall! The accommodation is based on a cross between Japanese pod style hotels and first class cabins on planes.
There are a variety of rooms available. I have always used the premium cabins as I prefer a bit more space and a double bed. These cabins have windows onto the main corridor, although there is a blackout blind for privacy.
There are also single cabins and twin bedded cabins.
They are ideal for shorter stays – you wouldn’t want to be more than 1 night here.
They are a good budget option. You can book cabins in 4 hour time slots for daytime use or overnight.
This review is based on the premium cabins.
Room
- Compact room with double bed
- En-suite bathroom with rainfall shower
- Toiletries in the bathroom
- Bed adjusts to either be sofa or bed when laid flat
- Colour changing lighting
- Hiardryer
Hotel
- In Gatwick Airport South terminal
- Lift down from terminal building
- Mix of single cabins, twin cabins and premium cabins
- No tea or coffee in cabins but available from receptions
- Can book by time ie. number of hours needed
Dining
- Costa coffee and M&S food hall nearby
- Giraffe restaurant on 1st floor
- Close to train station and shuttle to the North Terminal
Professional Traveller Note:
The cancellation policy is that you need to give 24 hours’ notice in advance to cancel a booking. That’s 24 hours’ notice in UK time – this can be tricky to manage when in a different time zone. I got caught out with this and ended up paying for a room I couldn’t use as a result.
