Looking for a hotel on the M74 near Lockerbie? This is a great dog-friendly option that is good value too.
The Days Inn Lockerbie is at Junction 16 of the M74.There is free parking at the front of the hotel and a lovely duck pond and green area to the rear.
The hotel is right beside the service area which has a restaurant, McDonalds, breakfast takeaway and shop selling food items as well.
There is also a service station on site.
Days Inn also offers dog friendly rooms as well making this a great stop for four legged friends. There are some nice green areas at the rear of the hotel for stretching all four legs – much nicer than the usual service station car park!
The rooms at Days Inn are budget but generally clean and comfortable. They can also be great value too. Our stay was only ฃ45 for a twin room which was great given the location.

3. Getting to the Days Inn Lockerbie
Days Inn Lockerbie is located at Annandale Services on the M6 motorway. They are located on the Southbound side. They can be accessed from the Northbound side by taking the exit and then crossing underneath the motorway.
On entering the motorway services you will see the Days Inn located at beside the main services.

4. Hotel Parking
There is plenty of parking out of the front of the hotel. It is free to park overnight.
There were a few boy racers around the car park late at night but it wasn’t too much of a problem.
If you want to see your car from your room request a front-facing or car park facing room. Be advised that these rooms will be noisier than rooms at the rear of the hotel.

The reception is located just in the entrance of the hotel. The hotel entrance is located just to the left hand side of the main service area.

- I asked for a quiet room and cool room but was given a room on the front, on the upper level overlooking the car park. It was neither quiet nor cool.
- The price was reasonable – ฃ45 for a twin occupancy room.
- Rooms at the back of the hotel will be quieter as they look over a pond.
