There are several options if you want to take a flight to Inverness from London – you can fly direct to Inverness from London Heathrow, London Gatwick, London Luton or London Stansted.
The flight times from each of these London airports are similar – around 1 hour and 15 minutes depending on wind direction. If it is a strong headwind it is likely to be around that time. If there is a strong tailwind you can often fly to Inverness in around 1 hour.

British Airways flies to Inverness from London Heathrow every day.
They fly from Terminal 5 at London Heathrow to Inverness. This is the newest terminal at London Heathrow and is purely for British Airways flights.
Terminal 5 at London Heathrow has various zones within it so depending on where you are travelling to or from you may need to transfer within the terminal itself.
The flights from Heathrow to Inverness are British Airways short-haul flights. This means you should be given water and a snack for free. If you want anything else to eat and drink you can order in advance from The Speedbird Cafe menu. There is a very limited selection of items available to buy on board the plane. The options include sandwiches, snacks, a range of drinks including beers and wines, afternoon tea and hot pies.

Flights are available from ÂŁ40 per person from Heathrow to Inverness depending on the time of travel and how far you book in advance.
3. Gatwick to Inverness Flights
Are you looking for an Inverness flight from London Gatwick? Easyjet has plenty of flights and at good times too.
All Easyjet flights from Gatwick depart from the North Terminal. If you arrive by train to Gatwick Airport you will arrive at the South Terminal. It is very easy to connect to the North Terminal as there is a free shuttle train which is located next to the railway station entrance and exit in the South Terminal.
When you reach the North Terminal just follow the signs for the Easyjet check in area or head through security if you are travelling with hand luggage only.
